SurfThing ads are created with Adobe Flash.
Depending on the screen layout you have chosen, there are usually two ad sizes that show. This can be the same ad resized if the proportions are the same or two separate ads if the proportions are different.
The top graphic on the right is a screen shot of an ad in "billboard mode" or full screen. The SurfThing is currently not in use so the ads are displaying full screen.
The lower graphic to the right of this text is a screen shot of a SurfThing in "surf mode". Someone is surfing the Internet, but the ads still show in rotation on the left hand side of the computer screen. After a predifined period of inactivity the ad display will revert back to "billboard mode" or full screen.
If you are providing us with a Flash file, we need you to send us the native .fla file so we can code it for use in our scheduling system. Here are a couple of other requirements:
- Break up text so we can avoid missing font issues.
- Movie background needs to be black.
- Links need to target parent ("_parent").
If you are NOT sending Flash keep in mind the final dimensions of the finished ad size. The content you provide us must be large enough to fill the ad space. For example, some of our wide screen monitors require the full screen or billboard ad size to be 1290 x 774 pixels. Logos should be sent as vector graphics in an .eps format so they can be resized if necessary.
